Our History
Our journey in providing exceptional eye care in Boise began in 2002 with Dr. Richard Murray and the establishment of Lifetime Optometry. Now, as Emerald Point Eye Care, we represent the ongoing evolution of that original vision. We remain dedicated to the same principles of expert knowledge, advanced technology, and genuine patient care that have been the hallmarks of our practice for over two decades.
Meet Dr. Andrew Ball
Dr. Ball’s passion for eye care began early, growing up in his father’s optometry practice. After graduating from UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry, he brought that lifelong dedication to Emerald Point Eye Care.
He specializes in specialty contact lenses, retinal pathology, and advanced dry eye treatments, with a particular focus on the unique vision needs of our senior community. Dr. Ball is committed to staying at the forefront of eye care advancements and believes in empowering patients with knowledge.
Dr. Ball is a proud girl dad, with two beautiful daughters. He also speaks fluent Spanish. Outside of work, you can find this Boise optometrist enjoying burritos, cuddling with his blind dachshund, watching shows with his wife, Alyssa, and playing with his girls at the park.

Rebecca Peterson
Office Manager
Rebecca leads the Emerald Point team, ensuring we deliver top-notch patient care. Her background in eye care and customer service allows her to create a smooth and supportive environment for both our patients and our staff. When not at work you will find her working in her garden, crafting or exploring the taste and treasures of the valley.
Danielle Fulfer
Technician & Receptionist
Danielle is a friendly and welcoming face, serving as both a receptionist and technician. She brings compassion and dedication to everything she does—especially when it comes to taking great care of our patients. Danielle loves camping, visiting local hot springs, and four-wheeling the trails of Idaho.
Karin Allen
Optician
Karin combines style and expertise to help patients find the perfect eyewear. As a mom of 4, she has the ability to connect with patients of all ages and put them at ease. Her kindness, attention to detail, and strong work ethic make her an invaluable part of our team. Outside the office, Karin enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
